Default Does your power mirror switch light up at night?

I was looking at mine last nite and couldn't remember if it ever lights up? Mine was dark so I firgured it the light burned out like it did on my PWR button. But I just wanted to make sure that it does light up? Thanks

Although I don't own a GS, I know what you're talking about. The mirror control in my ES, which looks the same as in the GS, used to light up at night (just the up/down and left/right arrows on the button), but now the mirror control doesn't light up anymore. I haven't gotten around to diagnosing the problem, but my guess is either a fuse problem or the bulb behind the control may have burnt out.

Doug do your mirrors move using the switch? Mine don't and the light is out. Someone told me that it couldn't be the fuse because the fuse is also used for seat memory and the clock in the center of the dash. Here's the funny thing when I change my seat memory the side view mirrors actually move? Could it be I just need a new switch?

Yeah Dom, the mirror control works fine other than that lighting problem. That alone may rule out the possibility of a fuse problem since the seat memory and clock also work OK. It sounds like that you may need either like you said a new switch, or a new power mirror control module or some kind of ECU to replace your power mirror control. I'm not exactly sure of the part you need, but you can thumb through http://www.newlexusparts.com and see what comes up

Now let's turn our attention back to the GS power mirror switch..

Mine works and lights up when lights are on.

If you have presets when you press them, they should adjust your seats AND your mirrors.

Yea it's so strange because my warrenty is going to be up soon so I been looking for stuff and I only noticed the PWR button which I know was out since last year and then the mirror light. It's funny how you don't notice these things!

Same here...I've been driving my car for 3 1/2 yrs and never noticed (until today) that there are little green arrows that light up all around the switch when you turn on the lights. The switch is located down and away from everything else and with the memory setting, I never had a need to look at it.
