l-tuned steering ECU
Hi, guys,
I got my ECU from the dealer in manhattan on saturday and installed it myself yesturday,REALLLLLY simple to do,did not dismantle the parts as i "ECU 101" just took down the black cover above the gas pedal/ brake pedal, use a light a small rachet set with a 2" extension and 10mm socket. Was done in appox. 15 min.HUGE difference.Drove over to Citi Island from Queens and felt the diffeerence when i pulled out of the drive way, much less work keeping the car straight, it realy does not wonder about "tracking" much anymore.I am very pleased with this purchase. If you do not yet have it I would strongly recomend that you get it,NOW!.Steering is NOT difficult at all,it just feels better.BTW i saw somtime ago a post about some special spark plugs,he also posted a link to the page for the plugs,if anyone recalls this info please post again, the plugs had almost a" tent like "tip.
thanks

I just installed my Steering ECU over the weekend too. But, it took me much longer
At first I wanted to do what clivej did and take out only the bottom panel above the pedal and go in from the bottom. Well let's just say I hard a really hard time getting my body low enough so I can actually look up to get to the ECU. I got so frustrated that I eventually just gave up and took apart everything described in the ECU 101 article. Even with all that, it only took me about 45 mins.
But anyways, the ECU is definitely worth getting. It's not difficult to turn at all. It definitely makes you feel like you're connected to your car and it behaves exactly the way you want it to. I thought the stock ECU made me feel like I was driving a boat.

Anyway, the ECU is a no brainer - it's ridiculous Lexus doesn't offer it from the factory.
William,
LOL. I know exactly what you mean. I promised her a trip to San Diego here shortly. Take the Haunted Tour and some Sea World to make up for the L-Tune Suspension and other car stuff.
It's all about balance. Aint life tough. Thread
