The first picture is the DRLs, the second the Wedge, the third picture compares the two.
Hope this helps.

Those are exactly the same bulbs I use in my car. They look great.

Lights look great! Does the wedge bulb always remain on when the regular lights are on or high beams are on? I assume the wedges are off with the DRL.

Thanks,

gsman,

during the day, the DRL is the high beam running at the wattage... so the wedge is off. at night, the DRL/high beam is off but the wedge is on.. when u turn on ur high beams at night, the wedge remains lit...

Thanks for the clarification. So when your HID lights are on, are the wedges offer enhanced illumination or are they just for looks? What watt bulb and type are people using for the aftermarket wedge bulbs?

to add one more question to GSMan's list, what are the average life of these bulbs?

I've seen other threads stating 1 year for PIAA, and ~6 months for other types, how are the PIAA or Polargs compare to the stocks in terms of life?

Ok here you go the wedge bulbs are Polarg 12v18watt super bright! stock are 5watt.
I have had these on my car for at least 18 months...still going strong. no fires etc
Only thing...It is a pain in the A-- to get the driver side one in. Be careful not to break them when installing (ala Brian S who managed to break them several times) you need small hands. I scarped my knuckles and had a few contusions, but I wasn't going to give up so easily Getting your g/f or wife to do it for you might be the way to go. They usually have smaller hands. Plus they will think they are really helping you out and bonding with you or something.
