Default Auto on/off

Ok here is my question to you guys...

I bought my 2000 gs3 from this guy 4 months ago (i checked its records and took it to a mechanicn forst) and everything on the car is in a great condition. The only think that realy gets on my nerves is the fact that the right side fog light has a burned out bulb. On monday im getting my paycheck (first one in a long time) and im going to fix it.

If im going to run the car with the fog lights on the whole time but still have the head light control on "Auto" will it turn off everything including the fogs when i turn the car off?

Thanks for the help.

Default Fog Lights

The fog lights will turn off whenever the headlights are off either in auto mode or manual mode.

stock from factory the fogs ONLY work when the headlights are on. that's the case for US. seems like it's different in japan

if you go to banana gs's site there is a diy so that you can keep the fogs on.

Yes I can turn the fogs on with only one "click" (i.e., with only parking lights on), but apparently in the US you can't do that.

huh?! wtf?

not when it's required by law here (especially in cali) that the fogs can't be on without headlights. i think that's the reason why they do it here

I just pictured my car going down the street only with the fog lights on. That would look sweet.

I think it would look good too. I think the site that Rom mentioned has a diy for the fog lights.

Another silly law that just pass, is that when you use your wipers (when it rains), you have to turn your headlights on!

not so silly at all when you think of it. when you use your wipers it means you're clearing
stuff off your windshield which you use to see. in between wipes your view is slightly
"obscured" or "skewed". having headlights on (and also tail lights - more to the point) allows
you to see the other vehicles easier when the windhield is covered with rain.
also, cars kick up huge amounts of spray which prevents you from seeing their rear end.
the lights help identify how far the car is in front of you.

now if we could only get everyone to turn on their headlights when the sun is rising or setting.
i'm always afraid of cutting someone off when switching lanes when the sun is in my mirrors.

we now return you to your previously jacked thread...
-d.

I would love to be able to turn on just my fogs with running lights
from what I remember, the banana diy looked kinda difficult
