So what does a new paint job done right run? I'm talking door jams, engine bay all nooks and crannys. I want it done right

no not elite... stephan does decent work but is a little poricey..

Motu1, 00lexondub - are you guys near St.Pete/Tampa. I was hoping you knew a good mechanic to do TC and LSD install, I'm looking at a paint job for mine soon too. Any recommendation.

 

yeah i think 5 to 7k. if you just paint the outside i think 3k is a good price, the extra price for taking things out and painting the inside?

 

$5 K isn't bad but don't forget about the paint cost to. Such paint's will cost you more depending on pearls, kandys, flip-flops and what not.

 

I'm up in Jacksonville so I am not familiar with shops in Tampa area. There are some good shops in Orlando which would be closer to you.

The prices can vary drastically. My neighbor had his '67 vette repainted and the whole car was disassembled and painted from the ground up. Engine was removed and body taken off frame. Just the paint job cost him around $15k but it was worth it. That car shines like nothing I have seen before. The paint is incredibly smooth. They did a great job but at a great price. I was quoted $8500 by a local shop to paint the outside and install body kit and stuff. But I was just going to repaint it the same alpine silver as I love this color so I didnt think it was worth it.
