Unknown Dash Light
I had a similar problem when I first got my GS, except every time I turned the lights off it went away!
Seriously, I used to own an early 86 Supra. Lived in Florida at the time. When I was driving the car and the sun was at my back at just the right angle, the sunlight would occasionally hit the dashboard and make it look like the check engine light was on. I'd immediately pull over, but just changing lanes would make it go away. Took me months of going to the dealer, stopping by the side of the road, etc., until I figured out what was going on. In short, you're not alone.

but after reading your second paragraph -- that's fine
Welcome to CL. Don't worry, people are laughing WITH you not AT you.
It's an honest mistake as you are gettting yourself accustomed to your new purchase. We all agree that you have great taste. You did buy a Lexus.

Lol. That's too funny. I have a similar story. When I first got my GS, I was convinced that the windshield sprayers were broken. In my previous car (an ES), you would pull the windshield wiper stalk towards you to activate the sprayers. I must have pulled the stalk on my GS 25 times and nothing, no spray. The wipers would activate, but not even so much as a noise from those sprayers. I filled up the reservoir with washer fluid until it was overflowing, and still, no spray. Then, and perhaps the most embarassing moment, I took it into the dealer to have the problem fixed. The person who greeted me asked me what the problem was, so I told him and showed him how my windshield sprayer didn't work. He looked at me and thought I was putting him on. He said, "Mr., you gotta push that button over der." And my response, "Uh . . . . . I think I better leave now." Welcome to CL.

i will never live this down , but thanks for not completely ****ting on me everyone
i don't think i will ever go back to a nissan or any other make for that matter, the car is incredible. i get sick from being slammed into my seat every time i get on the gas and it rides amazing on top of it - not too bouncy, but still comfortable. it's perfect.
CL is a great resource, which is suprising as i didn't expect such a big mod crowd. thanks for the welcomes, and expect many more senseless posts on my part.
