So the rear brake light in the back window had a section of it go out. Id say it has been out easily a year, and during that time Ive seen that little light in the dash telling me that the light is out. So, Ive been lazy, and havent cared much to be very honest... But tonight, for whatever reason, the light in the dash had gone away, and I noticed it, and I thought, "hhmmm that's weird..." Then upon coming to a stop sign, I looked back for the reflection as I was braking, and sure enough, the lights were all working. So my question is, WTF is happening? How did the light go out for over a year and the dash warning light appear, then all of a sudden tonight the dash light was gone AND the whole rear brake light was working again...?

The bulb socket has corrosion at the connection point to the bulb. Vibration caused the reconnection.
