Default New user with a few questions

Hey clublexus my name is Eddie, I just recently purchased a GS430 after a lot of car disputes and situations. (I originally had an acura.. man that gave me some problems)

I was sort of curious to know why the gs can not tow, as the user manual states. I have a small sportbike which I wished to buy a trailer for, a small trailer of course probably one with just railings for the wheels, and tow the bike back and forth from track days, but this probably won't be happening now, unless there are other owners out there who had custom hitches fitted of some sort, does anyone know anything about this subject matter? Thanks in advance

Ed

welcome bro to clublexus.. post up some pics of the 430 asap please, its a req as far as towing , that does not work round these parts .. we mod our cars here for perf and for looks .. to use the gs for towing maybe get a beater truck or something but the gs is too beautiful to have anything pulling behind its ****

I've always felt that a beautiful car should tow a beautiful bike, haha

as far as modding goes, I am looking into some hks coilovers, and some volk wheels..
not to hijack the thread, but any suggestions on tires? (high or ultra performance summer)
I guess all seasons could work as well..

Brandon, at TireRack says the best performance tire he carries right now is the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. What size rims are you considering? Depending on size you choose, may influence what choices you have available. Not all makes are available in all sizes. Cost may become a consideration in some larger sizes and staggered set ups as well.
Welcome to the club!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I've been thinking more about the HKS LS suspension.. to be honest i dont plan to ever change the settings, i just want a slightly less floaty ride, with less body roll.. i know that i'll have to make sacrifices, but coming from a tiny 2 door coupe (rsx-s) I'm a bit spoiled by its flat handling and tossability. Sure the Gs is heavy but i'm sure a good suspension setting could atleast make it slightly more composed through transitions. i would think about purchasing the tein springs with blisten shocks, given its price and fact i will not modify the settings, but after putting goldline springs on my rsx, with no aftermarket shock i told myself i should never go that route again. But i would imaigne the springs and shocks would be a good combo, ok enough thread hijacking.

Anyone have any more info about the towing situation for the gs?

I doubt towing a small trailer and bike will hurt anything other than looks.
