I have a millenium silver 2000 GS400 Platinum Edition. Yes that is the correct color code. I haven't seen the millenium silver next to the alpine silver. Is there a significant difference?

sorry I wasn't clear. My GS is the Platinum Edition, but the silver is Millenium silver. The only 2 types of silver that exist as far as I know are millenium silver and alpine silver.

i see.......you got any pics of your car that i can take a look?
i have the alpine silver. to me the millenium silver looks like theres a copper ,bronze or somethin mixed with it and the alpine silver looks like...ummmm like the sliver that are use on acura's. similar ot it at least.
Tommy has the Millenium Silver, it has more metallic in it than the other silvers. Some of the other silvers have a bluish tint to them. The color code is correct, 1C0.
Also - I'm pretty sure that 98/99 = Alipine silver and 2000+ = Millenium Silver... not just because the Y2K / Millenium thing, but because TomTNC has a 99 GS in Alpine and Bitkahuna has a 2000 GS in Millenium and they are distinctly different colors.
Okay. I know the definitive answer to this because I specifically bought my car because it was alpine silver. Alpine silver was used for 1998 and 1999, and the color code is 199. Millenium silver began being used in 2000, and is still used today. The color code for millenium silver is 1C0. The 2 colors are very different, and there is a thread dedicated to this. Give me a second to search . . .
Here it is one thread (it's not the one I was thinking of, though):
