I came across a vendor selling the instructions on how to re program the master key.Is this a con?I need to make another key anyways and I was told over $150 for it.When you buy the new key does it come programmed or is that additional?ebay

it looks complicated only coz' all the steps are described in details. i just programmed a key myself not too long ago, very very easy!

 

If all you have is the valet key and the "card" emergency key, can you program a master key...you know, without having another master key?

Basically, can I order a blank master Lex key (with remote transponders in key) and have it cut and programmed for my car...without going to Lexus dealer?

 

I believe to get another master you have to go to the dealer. I need to get another master for my 98 SC400 and detailed the paperwork the dealer required in this post. The key is about $190 and they really want to make sure you really own the car.

Hey dude, that is way too much to pay for the key, I understand that lexus charges way more,

I have a guy he only sells master keys. I think for $99USD uncut, U just pay lexus to cut it or any skilled key cutter, but I would only give it to lexus.

As for programming, your original key should be able to repogram the new key that U are buying.

If U loose the master key, U are *****D, because U have to buy a new computer
