Default Chrome shifter ring...

Ok, I did a search. Turns out it was avaliable for a while for $20. Now you have to buy the whole part which is $170-$250. For those who were at EOS, what was the name of the company that can chrome pieces of the car? They can do plastic too. Anybody else get theirs done. For those that are wondering, this is the part that comes on the 01+ GS. Or who is another source?

You would think that a junk yard should have this piece?

The question is which junk yard.
You would have to do a lot of phone calls to track one down.

Plus I think there were fitment issues between 98-00 to a 01 – 04.

Some tab has to be broken to get it to fit or something like that.

shoot i was down at some flea market and i was watching some guy chrome stuff the process is actually very simple. i believe chroming is a process of ionic bonding, thats why a lot of companies back there products because those bonds dont play. well anyways the guy at the fleamarket would spray solution on to stuff then shock it, it would then turn into chrome.

edit: if u ever ask a rim shop how they chrome wheels they'll tell u the same stuff, pretty much soak the whole wheel in solution and apply electricity "chrome dipping" is the term.

edit2: i know for a fact its ionic bonding.
