hard start in cold weather
hey,
i did a search, but couldn't find much. this is my first time living up in cold weather (read: weather that stays below 32 for more than a few hours at a time), and on a couple occasions now the starter is really slow and almost seems like battery is very low whenever i don't drive the car for three to six days......i've never left the car for more than a week without starting it, but that was the time i thought for sure it wasn't going to start.
anyone else have this problem or know of any clues? should i get a battery warmer or engine block warmer? is this typical stuff that happens in cold climates?
thanks

it might not be that battery. I just had this problem after the car sat for a few days after our first snow. i turned the key and there was no start, no clicking, nothing. All accessories worked just fine, turned them off and tried 5 or 6 more times. Still nothing. The last time I actually turned the key and held it here for a couple seconds and it started right up. I'm relieved, but I'm at a loss as to why this happened.
