This only happens when I refuel but when I refuel my car, the RPM drops to low 100-200 and after the tank is 3/4 full it goes dead. When I try to start, it does not wanna start, and it just cranks, but when I put my foot on the gas and cranks, it starts up. I would then have to drive around with my foot on the gas for like 30 seconds or else it would go dead. I have no idea what kind of issue this is, at first i thought it could be the fuel pump but after i leave the gas station, next morning it starts up fine, it’s just during pumping it stalls. Any idea?

 

Fuel pump/ fuel filter / strainer. It's really tricky assembling these things with the O-rings, grommets and C-clips.
Be careful, many people have had trouble replacing the pump / filter.

 

Turn your car off when you put gas in it and hope you haven't already done permanent damage to the EVAP Vapor Canister.
