Guys...my passenger door wont lock with the when i push the lock button or the remote. It unlocks fine when i do that. It only locks if i wait for like 20 mins and when i try locking it again it locks half way. Would anyone know whats the problem?

 

Sounds like the door lock actuator, run a search and a few threads will pop up. I believe some said the part cost is about 200 bucks.

 

door actuator. i paid like 170 for mine. if you know what you're doing, you can save a few bucks and do it yourself. just to let you know you need to remove the door handle and the sub window rail in order to pop the old actuator out.

 

ToNee, go to your Lexus dealer and check to see if your car's been serviced for that recall. Mine unfortunately was, so I had to drop $170 like quicksilver and get a new one for my driver's side.

from what i just heard recently it was a problem with the 98's and 99's mine if broken on the front pass door as well,, been lazy 2 get part but i will soon...
