Never had that problem with my lexus, but my old RA43 Celica would occasionally show a brake warning light for the simple reason of low brake fluid (small leak, or pads worn way down, lowering the level in the master cylinder). Quick and simple to check, and could be quick and cheap to fix. Let us know what you find...

I have the same problem. I replaced the bulbs it was good for a day then it came back on. Everything seemed to work fine. I would like to know as well.

Check brake fluid in master cylinder. Its probably low because your brake pads are low, which requires more fluid due to the piston being so far out. It brings the fluid level in the master cylinder below the sensor. Thats cause the light to come on

Yes check your brake fluid level. Same happened to me on my jetta thought it was the parking brake sticking, filled the brake fluid up and no more light

It's a brake fluid issue. My brake light would come on going up steep hills. I put a few spills of brake fluid and haven't seen the light sense.

Hope you guys know that when the brake fluid is low that means the pads are low too. When you replace them and push the piston in, it will over flow.

That's why you bleed your breaks after you replace the pads. You might want to check the condition of your rotors as well.

Hi All!
The verdict is in....you all were right. My brake fluid was low. And yes, I need new rotators and break pads. Thanks so much.
