Default check engine light on code P0128 help

my car 2002 lexus GS300 check engine light on,i get the code P0128,please help ,do to do with this code? thank you all help

I believe that is coolant temp below thermostat regulating temperature.

1. Check coolant level
2. Check Coolant temp sensor ( usually fairly cheap to replace)
3. Replace thermostat ( 20 bucks tops and 10 minutes of your time)
4. replace coolant with fresh stuff.


generally this is a code i commonly see during cold winter months, if happening during summer months just follow the 4 steps above and should go away

ps... your car is a secon gen.

if it does happen during the cool winter months what do you suggest? I am in 37F weather at times
