Default hey 1st gen peeps

i started this thread in the electronics forum. No one is really hanging out there it looks like. Can you guys with CD players tell me if this looks like yours? I want to go from TAPE ONLY to at least having the CD button and then adding the changer later.

edit: oh, the guy on the auction has no idea what car this is from which is why I'm asking. I have a picture of the back, too, it looks like it has two square plugs.

IT ISN"T GOING TO WORK. There is no way you are going to get the cd-changer to work.

1 the cd changer is in the trunk.
2. you are going to have to run LOTS OF WIRES to the trunk.
3. its just not worth it. i would just go aftermarket.

Oh, wow. You've got two little buttons in the top right corner? What do those do?

Found out that stereo is the pioneer one anyway. I need the Nak unit if I'm going to do this. I know I should go aftermarket but this is on ebay for like $30 right now and I kinda like the factory look.

It will cost you more than $30 but, here is your solution for both tape and CD play along with keeping a semi stock look...

Go get a Nakamichi TD-35, 40 or 45 and add a 6-disc indash changer below it (MB-70). That was my original choice before I went nutty. With a good dash bezel it will look great!!

pianoman,

the 2 buttons go with the small display above
it's an automatisation for weather and traffic reports, and a autoset to follow radio stations, wherever you go.

that's it.

I just looked at those online. That would be so, so nice. Who sells Nak in Dallas, you know? Thanks, man. Very cool.

why don't you just keep your stock headunit and buy a cd changer and put it in the trunk. there is a kind that uses FM signal. so no wires needed. its sounds very good also. i think one of the company is sony. so no need to change everything just get a cd-changer that uses fm signal good luck
