Default ABS Light problems!!

Hey guys I have noticed that my abs light on my dash comes on once in a while. not all the time. I have the brakes checked and had to put new pads on the rear brakes, but everything seems to be OK. Has anybody had this same problem? Do any of you have an idea as to what I can do or where I can start to solve this problem??

chances are that it's a ABS sensor, check the connections, and if need be, get a shop to scan it. i'm putting my money on an ABS sensor is the problem, as long as no other lights are on

I know this has nothing to do with the abs light, but for the past couple days a light on my cluster has been going on and off, the light is a picture of the carr with lines coming from the back, any ideas?

m1k3yg, that would be you have a rear bulb burnt out. if it's neither the marker, brake, signal or reverse light that are burnt out or has a bad connection, then the 3rd brake light with LED's in them, might be crappin out

Guys,

Where is the sensor located? I replaced my radiator today and all of a sudden, my abs light is on. I bet some coolant may have gotten the sensor wet. Hopefully it dries. I will create a new thread, but does anyone have any insight on this?

thanks,
Bryan

The ABS (Anti-lock brake system) sensor(s) are located on your front steering knuckles and rear knuckles. If you google image "abs sensor on spindle" or something like that you'll get the general idea. As for why your light is on after a simple radiator replacement..that's a since they don't contact each other at all. Maybe coincidence or bad luck that your abs sensors went bad when you swapped the radiator.

Also, if the light don't go away anytime soon, then you should take it to a good mechanic/shop to have them pin point which sensor it is. Rather than guessing which of the 4 sensor it is. I personally don't know how to test them yourself. Maybe voltmeter? =P

Light went away after a few hours. Must of been the angle of the car while it was jacked up for both a oil change and radiator change.
