Default speedometer acting up

today driving my car my speedometer stop moving (0 mph),my tach was working normal. Then later it started working again. then she stopped again. It seem like when i threw on the a/c it flipped out? Not really sure anyone had this happened to them before.

sometimes on a start-up my tach wont work i just light tap the top of the dash and it pops up...same with my speedo if i just start rolling it will stick at 0 and i lightly tap the top of the dash and it works fine....try taking the cluster out and "inspect" connections and see if theres alot of dust or anything weird like that....

ps. still rockin the aristo hood! haha thanks again for it man!

Looks like it may be quite a common problem. I have to agree with boxcar though, I have the same problem and I just hit the top of the dash and the needle springs into action and starts working. Except sometimes, I have to hit it a little harder than "lightly"

I also have this issue with my Aristo but my tach also's dead at the sametime
I knew there was a technical fix for this!
I will try to tomorrow if they do not work.

I may need you to threaten mine too. I smacked it and it seemed to be working but then I was pulled over for going 14 miles over the speed limit
....I had the cruise control on
(I pulled the instrument cluster and cleaned the contacts, also cleaned all the other ones I could get to behind the cluster, seems to have fixed it but only time will tell)
