Default Speedometer issue?

Just found out this morning my speedometer stopped working and just stays at 0. Does anyone have any ideas where to start looking? Checked the ECU but no idea which wire goes to the speedometer. I'm guessing my cluster might have gone bad... but don't have a spare to test it.

Yeah, my RPM and speedo will stay at 0 when I first start my car. Just smack the top of the dash where the guage cluster is and I bet you she'll start working... Thats what I have to do

Hahah, I thought I was the only one with bad dash. Tach & Speedo reads zero for couple minutes. Then one might start to work...I just leave it in third in city and cruise on lower RPM...since i'm running 3.76....if you guys have a smartphone, just download an app.. if you really want to know......

I am having the same issues with Tach and Speedo (in addition to not lighting up, except for fuel needle). I found this old thread today on the LS forum, probably similar...haven't tried any of the fixes yet...

Gave my friends 400 a smack on the dash and his started working again. If cruise still works but no speedo, then it's the cluster.

haha. On my first SC I would have to smack the top of the dash to make mine work. Beware, after smacking it for a couple of months, becomes a little, umm broken(er) lol
