Default lowering my gs

hey i been hearing alot of good stuff about the tanabe springs and most likely im gonna be getting them...but has anyone ever tried cutting the springs on these cars?? like 1 coil or so? how is the ride? thanks..

Do NOT do that. This is a Lexus, not a Honda, you will RUIN your cars handling.

hahaha!! do not cut your springs!!!!that was the first thing i did to my GS and that was a really,really bad decision.it was hella bouncy!

did u cut it from the top or the bottom? did u cut all four? and also how much did u cut off? thanks..i think im gonna juss try it for the hell of it..

Just completely ignore his advice........

It's going to be a stupid rough ride, a friend of mine did his, it was almost unbearable. Don't do it.

as a parts advisor, i highly advise you sell your car, and buy a **** box honda, and do that to, seeing how they ride like **** to begin with.

do NOT cut the springs on this car, the springs are rated for a load tension for a reason, and are not ment to be cut, otherwise, it would be a dealer option when the car was purchased.

lowering springs have different spring rates, and are designed to take the shorter rebound

lol ok guys i wont cut them! being that my dam head gasket is blow so now i have a bigger head ache

goodstuff haha, make sure not to reuse old headbolts, they might stretch causing another bhg later down the line.

Ummm..yes you can re-use them. Loose head bolts or bad head prep will cause another leak. Ive re-used headbolts before.....unless ofcourse the threads are corroded out.
At least the head job is noy too bad on the JZ engine. you should be doen in no time
