Hi guys, just a quick ques. i only have 1 original key to my 1gen. and i just wanna know if anyone have gotten an xtra/spare key made. If so was it from a lexus dealer or at a local keyshop? I just want to get an idea how much ill be spending if i go through a dealer ? time is rough n spending $100+ @ a dealer for a xtra key is ridiculous.

 

you can probably get a copy for cheap but anything with buttons is going to be a pretty penny. i have a dummy key. the key blank part # is LXP90-p. go to lexus and have them cut a copy of ur key to a cheap blank and you should be good. it has no buttons though.

 

Got a no button key made for $30 from a local Locksmith

I ordered a spare key that fits in the wallet from sewell lexus and all you have to do is send your vin#. I believe it was 30.00 and this was when I ordered from them 4+yrs ago.

 

I took a blank key up to lexus and they did it for $25.00 .. the one with buttons from them was like $140 if I remember correctly..

 

I need a one button uncut remote key for a 1993 Lexus sc400, if anyone has one let me know asap.
