Hello, everyone. I lost my key fob walking on the plaza and stayed there for 3 hours trying to find it. Contacted all of the local stores around there and security booth to see if they found anything and gave them my number. I can't park there over night or else I would get towed and ticketed...
I am thinking just towing the car to my house for now which is only about 15 miles max.
That was the only key I got when I purchased the car so no spare keys.. I called the local lexus dealership here and they said they would need my car so that means I have to tow my car to the dealer ship. The "new" key fob is $185 and he did not mention any programming fee.
You're going to have to bend over for this one I'm afraid! You could call a locksmith but there are few with the correct proxy programming tool to reset the computer related to entry let alone have blank fobs.
I'm in the same boat. Last owner has no idea where the key is. Lexus want 375.00 out the door with a spare key! I'm going to have to eat it.
I remember reading somewhere, if you put some water on door handles and it will unlock. not sure if its true or not. to save money on the key. go buy one on ebay.
2 keys for $130 something…
