Default Nakamichi 12 stacker ERR

Hey CL's,

This is my third lexus (LS400, SC400 now GS300)...that has had the same issue with the CD stacker freezing and an ERR output on the head unit.

I went to Lexus and they told me i was out of luck...nakamichi is no longer!

Is there an easy fix or something to look at first before chucking?

I can't be the only one Plagued with "ERR"!?

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRR,

i get that error when I try to play cd's in a format that is not readable, such as mp3 or when i just didn't push in the cartridge in enough. Oh ya, and once after I disconnected my battery while a CD was playing.

Thanks LeXusFiTs...

I will try wiggling / pushing in the cartridge tomorrow morn.

It seems to only happen when listening to a CD for a bout 30 mins...if i switch to a diff CD it will work for a bit but then throw the error again.

Anybody else have a similiar issue and find a fix?

Thanks Brother CL,

yeah, could be a cartridge issue but i have had 3 vehicles and all 3 have done the same thing. I must be ERR cursed!

How much did the changer cost ya?

Thanks again,

Mine got the err and the cartridge was stuck, ended up just taking it apart to get the cartridge out and it's been working like normal since. Not sure what caused it to get stuck to begin with though.

I suggest hacking your cd changer to have an aux input! check the audio section.
