Default SC400 CD changer jammed Nakamichi

1994 SC400, the CD cartridge seems to be stuck in place, and when lids slid shut the eject button blinks as unit struggles. CD button on console doesnt seem to result in much of any action.... Any suggestions? Any techniques for "unjamming" the cartridge? Thanks!!!

Happened to me once. You've probably got a CD half in and half out of the player. Mine sorted itself out, after I was told the only solution was removing and dismantling the CD player, which in effect would destroy it.
Try opening the player and jiggling it to dislodge the disc.
Good luck.

tried pretty hard to jiggle, probably too hard. TRied to pry, pull; all that bad stuff.

Looks like I might have to dis-assemble the unit. How should I go about this, and how can I disconnect the power to it first so i dont electrocute myself? Also there definitely isnt a cd stuck because they are all flush in the cartridge(looked with a flashlight)

GoalieBill: what do you mean opening it will destroy it?

Take a Card, like a gift card that is useless and run it between the cartridge and the changer

Worked for me
