Default supra trans

just wondering if any of you have swapped out you gs auto for a na supra one. my trans is starting to show its age and lack of maintenance from previous owners and i found a supra one locally. they seem to be the same but i wanted to double check, any info would be apreciated.

I think as long as its a na it should work, but I'm not sure....

I'd like to know this as well. My tranny is shot, so I'm looking for alternatives. As of right now, I have access to an SC300 tranny (which I hear is the same as the one in the first gen GS.) Only thing is, that the electrical connector/harness is diffrent. Despite that, I'm still going to attempt to have it installed on my car. I'll be sure to let you guys know how it goes

My aristo needed some gearbox electric wiring changes when I fitted a supra AEM to my car so its feasable that the transmission will bolt on but need some wiring mods to make it work.

here you go
so turbo tranny is diffrent.
Both the TT and NA auto trannys are controlled electronically, hence the A340"E". The difference is that the line pressure on the TT is controlled by the ecu, where as it is controlled by a cable on the NA tranny. Contrary to popular belief, the NA tranny does not have a kickdown cable.

I think if you use a Supra tranny you have to modify you driveshaft.
