In the trunk were the cd changer is located,what is the device that sitting under it? Is it the amp? I am running an aftermarket radio and I don't know if it's sending or getting power to this device. I want to take this thing out of the car to relocate the battery to the trunk. Also do our master key unlock the trunk, cause mines don't? I was told by the stealership it is the master key.

 

Yes that is the amp, you can power it, but from what I've read it will sound like crap. All the speakers and sub are powered thru the amp, so I would just bypass it, and yank the changer and amp out...

All of my keys open my trunk, even my wallet key. The only one that doesnt is the valet key.

Yes thats the amp, you dont need it if you have an aftermarket headunit and the best thing to do would be to take it out. Either use your HU to power the speakers, or get a 4 channel amp, either will work fine. If your on stock speakers just be careful, they cant handle that much power.
