Default Car cutting out!

Today I was going to the track, but I noticed that sometimes when I step on my brakes the radio,AFC, would go off and come back on. Then coming home she turned off on me when I stepped on the brakes. What they heck is going on here?

Your charging system is failing or you have a bad connection. I went through it already.

I was thinking of going to Advanced Auto to get them to check the system. So you guys had the same problem, stepping on the brakes and the car goes to sleep on ya?

Yep. Turned out the stator went bad in my alternator. After I fixed that I still got some dimming until I cleaned up the grounds.

Default cut out

mine did the same thing. everylight i was scared to brake. everytime i would have the radio on and the ac on. the car would die at the light. I hange the battery and hasnt happen again.

??? the car still seems like it draining alot of power, i know it was coverd before but, what are some steps to clean up the ground system. I drove really low when i had my JIC suspension and i ripped out bunch of wires under both fenders which i think one is a ground connected to the body of the car.???

The grounds that made the largest difference to me were under the hood on each fender. There are 4 wires, white with black stripe that all go to one ground. Remove the 10mm bolt that holds it to the fender. Get a dremel or some sandpaper and take it down to metal around that hole. Once I got those grounds touching bare metal it made all the difference. Also check to see of your negative terminal is corroded. The main ground wire on mine turned to white powder once I looked inside the coating.

The guy @ Advanced Auto checked the battery cold cranking power and the test failed said need new battery. Then I started it up and he checked the charging sys. and send the amperage was low. He feels it's the alt. Which one should I do? I am currently using a small stinger battery that sits under the upper intercooler pipe.

If the alt failed the load test I would replace that first. With any luck your stinger may hold a bit of a charge. You might want to consider upgrading to an Optima. $100 at Costco.
