Default quick question?

Who here has two 12'' inch subs and what size box did you get built to support the two 12''s.I did do some reading up about this and know that the firewall (gas tank) restricts alot of the bass from entering the cabin so how would a ported box be built to support these subs?or should i go with a sealed and call it a day?

I think the majority of us use the stock opening and call it a day.

I originally wanted to put 2 subs in the trunk but that would of totally killed the trunk space. I ended up doing this and am quite happy. The power of this JL audio 12 inch sub is amazing.

I have 1 12". Before, i had it in a qlogic sealed box from best buy...i felt i didn'
t get all the power i could get out of it. Then i built my own...same thing so i bought a ported box specifically designed for my sub. It sounds very nice...clean. I think if i did 2 subs, the bass would kill the sound and clarity of the speakers. You can see what i have in my signature

ABout the firewall. I got that taken out and it made quite a bit of a difference. There is 3 pieces, 1 major one and 2 smaller ones on the side. I just don't know the idea of a gas tank exploding or getting pushed in incase of an accident. ITs easy to take them out or put them back in.

yes thanks xeeeeeem for the info ,very helpful i am going to put one type-r 12'' ported and a nice \ autotek 1400.1 amp.I guess with the other 12'' i'll sell it for 100 with one year waranty and throw in a couple more dollars and get some new components (tweeters, doors).xeeeeeem would you happen to have the blueprint for the ported box you have made? is your ported box the same size as i stated before?(4.5 cubes tuned to 32hz).
