You can usually go to checker or another local auto parts store and borrow one under their loan a tool program , call around and check. Sears or harbor freight should have them as well I have a brand new water pump if you need it , cheap! replace drive belt tensioner while in there as well.

While you are in there, replace the timing belt and rollers as well. The work is extensive but straight forward. Expect 3-8 hours depending on your skill and available tools such as impact wrench.

well before i have to worry about the puller. The large bolt holding it in place will not budge for anything. I'm using a big impact with 160 psi behind it and a propane torch to try and heat it but no luck at all.
Make sure you're going the right direction. Lexus has a special tool to hold the crankshaft pulley to prevent turning while loosening. You're going to have to lock the crankshaft pully somehow.

well the crank isn't moving when i use the impact. I am unscrewing to the left...... thats what the 2 dealerships I called said.... that left was to loosen.
i give up!!! I used a 4 foot steel breaker bar on the wrench and the screw wouldn't budge for anything. I will have to take it in to get it done somewhere.... damn stupid screws. Unnecessarily tight.
i had the crank pulley secured with a bunch of clamps.... it wasn't moving. The propane torch didn't get the bolt hot enough to make a difference and the impact still couldn't get it off even with 160 psi. maybe an acetylene torch would have done it. The car is at the mechanic now so i'll see how they do.
im doing a full over haul on my gs and i heated the bolt and i used a impact with 350lbs of torq n it came right off just don"t be afraid of heating the bolt i left the torch for a while on the bolt and i also thought dang im going to mess something up but it was all good.im also changing everything so i wont have to worry about it again, from head gasket up ,water pump, hydro tensioner, belts, pullys ,etc the whole nine mit as well since im at it and u should to just to be safe..
