anyone know how to remove the center consol? the wood trim around the shifter is cracking i want to replace it.

 

Yep, I need to figure this one out too.

 

I did that. You open that ashtray and pull really hard and the who assembly snaps out. Then you push down on the plastic ring on the shifter exposing 2 screws. Be REALLY careful not to strip them. Take ths shifter off.

Do the ashtray 2nd, now that I think of it. And I think you can pull the center panel right below the shifter. It's just snapped in there, too.

I took out the whole armrest, too. There are screws hidden in the rear airvents and under the mat in the storage area and on the sides blocked by the seats.
