Default Sticky problem, got some redbull in the shifter...

So I accidentally knocked over a red bull not in the cup holder, into my shifter... Now everything is sticky and some lights that lit up the shifting gates have died (not all of it!). After driving and doing some stops it has gone away but I want to remove it completely. does anyone know how to get into? do I have to remove the entire center console? or just the gate shifter plastic piece?

tried to get some out etc... anybody know how to fix the dried up shifter problem too?

Your going to have to remove the plate and possibly the center console to get down underneath and clean it good.usually keep a micro fiber cloth over the shifter in my LS since the cup holders are right in back of the shifter.
