Hey LXMN, you know quite a bit about HID's, was your car negative switched??
Im getting ready to put HID's in the LS, did not come with them OEM
plan to put in some LS430's in there as soon as I can get my hands on another set of headlights
but anyway, I am putting in some OEM parts I had and it was brought to my attention that my car is probably negative switched meaning my positive is my negative and vise versa, how did you over come this or is the IS positive switched like most normal cars?? or did you just use a harness...which I plan to use I just want to fire these things up

Alright Guys (and Gals), we've been screwing around too long and "Bringin' It Weak!!"
How about meeting in a relatively central location for the majority of us, Iowa City (or maybe Coralville) would be a good central location for those of us in the East and the the Des Moines/Ames contingent...as long as there isn't a football game either week. I figured the Iowa City area would probably work reasonably well for most...how about someone from that area come up with a good, picturesque locale to meet up. If Iowa City doesn't work, someone else come up with a better choice. I'd love to have it here in the QCA, but I'm more than willing to drive to meet up.
What do y'all think, are we ready to stop screwing around and set a hard date?
I'm open on the weekends of the 15-16 Sep and 29-20 Sep.
Ball's in your court people.

Alright then, I guess I should chime up. I live in Iowa City.
If I can get an idea how many vehicles (and people) we're talking about, I'd be happy to 'find a spot'. Sept 15-16 and 29-30 were mentioned. If folks are spending the night in IC, I can call around and get a group rate. Ideas?

Coral Ridge Mall might be a good place to start. (Some spouses might want to stay at the mall while we meetup) Then go a nearby restaurant for lunch, a park afterwards for a group pic and whatever.
I gather a one day meetup is the consensus? Either way is fine with me.
If anyone wants to see the newly (1yr old) renovated Kinnick Stadium, we could do a drive by. Then of course we could go through downtown IC but there probably isn't anywhere we could all park.
I'm just looking for ideas....

I didn't think of it before, but hope we lean towards Sunday versus Saturday so I can coach my kid's soccer games, but we also won't have to worry about gameday. Just thought I'd throw in a little bit more to help focus on the date. It's not a deal breaker (I'd just have to do it later in the day on Saturdays), but Sundays would be in the clear; I can TiVo my NFL games.
Good idea the Mall shopping/lunch idea...I'm still in.
If you guys know the other Iowa folks on this thread, we probably need to let them know we've got the ball rolling again and to ensure they're re-engaged.

Hey im new to this site and just ran across this Iowa thread, so I thought I would let everyone know im up here in Fort Dodge. Im interested in talking to some other Lexus owners and possibly join a good club around our area. Thanks!
so about the meet, is this gonna be a for sure thing? what happened to all the people!?! haha, well if we do have the meet, we should have like some cool gear, like a club sticker or shirts or something, idk just something to make us official, sorry if this idea sounds kinda dumb.
Logo kind of stuff sounds cool, but we probably need to get a meet together first.
We should just start PM'ing all the past Iowans and let them know this is rolling again...with a sense of purpose. Do we have a volunteer to do just that? I would, but I'll be gone for the next 4 days.

Just wire them up using a wiring harness. It's like the wiring in your house, the outlet will figure out where the power goes, as long as there is power. Negative or positive. If you have them wired wrong, nothing will happen, meaning that the lights will not turn on. In this case, switch the wires and you will be good to go.
