Iowa Represent
I'm up for meeting whenever. Finally got my IS300 back that a friend was going to buy off of me but for numerous reasons it didn't work out. So know I'm back in the saddle and looking to repair various bits of damage, buy a beater SC next summer and then see where the modding goes from there. I've been away from CL for a while, left Toyota/Lexus for a new job and it's eaten up all my time. Hopefully I'll be back full time now.
I should be home early november- lets try and meet up sometime for a talk have a couple beers before you leave- any questions ya know- and welcome back F1- got some pics of the IS? where in Iowa?

There she is. Nothing too special, it was a bit of a compromise to get it. I needed a car quick, when I left Toyota/Lexus I had to turn in my company car, so away went my IS350. I didn't have much time so found the closest IS I could and bought it. Automatic, curb rashed original rims (and bent at that), and being an 01 it's limited on options (no armrest!?). But hey, it's a great car regardless. I've actually grown to like it more than the IS350 - sure, it was faster and had more gadgets, but the IS300 feels way more like a part of you while you drive it.
I'm over in the Anamosa area - remotely located near my office - a government built underground communications bunker now used as a secure data center. Anyone need any data center space?

Hi IA guys & gals:
Just thought I'd check out CL for the first time in almost 6 years. Looks like there's a little more activity then there was back then. I've got a dark green 94 SC400 that I bought in 2001. Without a doubt it's the nicest car I've owned. And it's still my everyday (non-winter) ride. I've seen several SC300/400 cars here (in Ankeny) but I only know where one of them resides. It's a nice silver 2000 SC400 (less than 900 SCs built that year). Perhaps someday these (SC) cars will be considered collectible enough to where enthusiasts will organize shows for them along the lines followed by the Mustang, Corvette and other enthusiast groups. That would be a blast. I plan to visit here more often to check out what's going on. Take care....

Hey,
I followed your link on over from SF.com. Would like to meet some of you guys, as you all know it's hard to find people like us around Iowa.
I drive Toyotas, but they are JZ powered so we have something in common. hehe
1984 Toyota Celica Supra P-Type Red (2JZ-GTE)
1985 Toyota Celica Supra P-Type Silver (2JZ-GE)
There are some quick pictures
So sometime we should meet up and bounce ideas around, etc. I'm building a Couple more xJZ powered cars this year and always like outside input.
Later,
Leon
BTW: Know anyone that has a V160/V161?

Welcome- some nice looking oldies but goodies- always nice to meet someone else from Iowa exp. with a shop- I dont know anyone personally with a v160/1 but they pop up from time to time- ill keep my eyes open for you- you heading down to TX2K9?
Thanks, If I can get together a transmission for the red car then yes I'd go. I'm shooting for SILV09 for sure though.
Looks like you have some goodies there yourself! I'll poke around SF and see if you got a build/picture thread for those parts above.
