Default Re-Dyno

Going back to STP tomorrow. Going to shoot for 1pm...or as soon as Stefan gets there as I have to be in Kendal area around 5pm. Hopefully I'll get to see how far the stock TT pump and factory hard line can take me

The new cams are lopey as hell though. I think I might have got 272s by mistake? Going to call BC tomorrow morning as Roger's 1j idles like stock it seems.

Car used to hook pretty good in 2nd. Well that's over now, ha. Every time I've done cd on a car, never really felt a huge change in power. This lack of traction is a good sign though.

Assuming you have 1000cc injectors I am going to guess 520whp SAE

Did you check the valve lash throughly after you installed the cams? What's your air:fuel at idle? What's your ignition timing at idle?

Hey Alpha,

I have 750cc injectors and hit ~550whp SAE /570 STD(I forgot to grab the winpep files before leaving on my flash drive) and it was just starting to lean out by 6500 according to the datalogs....and prior to the cams was hitting 470s on the mustang dyno @ HPLogic (formally Japtrix's old dyno). I know I need another pump as I'm already pushing the OEM hardware over the edge

I didn't check the lash, but the air fuel is around 13s at idle and I bumped the timing to around 17-18ish, which still wasn't enough so I had to adjust the throttle stop screw for the time being. I am thinking they might be 272s after talking with Brian @ BC and he confirmed it wouldn't be the first time 272s made it into a 264 box. I'll pull the VCs when I get back in town and compare part numbers.

Yeah. Grab the Winpep files. Congrats though

I would let the car set over night and check the valve lash one morning. This is very important for a stable idle. What rpm are you trying to idle it at?

Thanks man

As for the idle, 7-800 would be ideal, but I can live with the 1000. Once it warms up it will idle about 900 which is also fine with me. The warmup enrichments probably need some further tweaking as well since the cams, just haven't had enough time to look at it. When are you coming down here to tighten up Ed? I don't want any excuses from him
