Hey guys I'm heading over to Countyline Dragway tonight (Intersection of Krome Ave. & Okeechobee Rd.) to do some runs ... Anyone else wanna join? I'm heading out with a couple friends and I heard there's supposed to be alot of people there tonight ... But whenever I go I barely see any Lexus out there, I'm usually one of the only ones ... Let's see how many CL members we can get out there tonight

i didnt go to the track tonite cuz it rained and i thought they would close the track....

 

yeah even if i could have gotten out of work i wouldnt wanna run my car cause its raining, thats just not safe lol

 

Hey guys, Once again I was the only Lexus out there ... Yea it rained earlier but they bought a turbine blower to dry the track and at 10:00 the races started ... There was a good turnout of about 40+ racers and the bleachers were a little more than half-filled with spectators ...

I did 10 runs and won 6, so I came out on top ...

Cars I beat:
Heavy Modded chevy pickup truck
Turboed Honda CRX
Modded Previous gen. Mustang GT (intake, chip, exhaust)

Cars I lost to:
'98 Mustang Cobra Modded
Modded 350Z (raced this guy twice and could not get traction either time, pretty frustrating)
Gutted and Stripped Honda CRX Turbo weighing less than 2000 lbs. (he beat me by less than 1/2 a car)

I raced a couple of these guys more than once ... my first couple runs i was brake torquing too high and just kept spinning off the line ... After adjusting I was able to get a good speed to launch at (1600-1800 rpm) where I got no wheel spin just a little hop and go ...

It was a fun night and I'll be doing it again whenever I put in either headers or an LSD ...

My favorite part of the night though was when one of the racers came up to me and asked, "what do you have in your car? Is it turboed or are you spraying?", I said nothing just an intake and exhaust, he said " then how the Fluck is your car so fast?", lol I looked at him and said that's the Lexus V8 baby ... He had no idea I had a V8 under the hood

next time ill take out my "boom boom" and go to the track....

 

Yeah I'd love to go to the track and just see how I am doing. Maybe next week I will make the drive down there, if anyone else on here is heading out.

 

damnet man i rlly want to go and run the 430 out there, but im leaving to ny 2morrow and wont be back for like two weeks

Here are my best numbers for the night in my '01 GS430

Reaction Time = .915, that tree is hard to time ...
60 ft. = 2.339
Trap MPH = 74.3
1/8th Mile Time = 9.712

Overall I'm pretty happy about the cars I beat but dissapointed that I didn't meet my goal of a 9.5 sec 1/8th mile time or under, o well I've got something to shoot for

PS - It was about 74 degrees that night but humid as hell it felt like 90, and I have no clue how high above sea level it is lol ... I also had taken the spare tire, jack and everything else I could grab outta the trunk ...

O yea and I gotta see when I can take my baby up to Moroso one day to run the 1/4, I'd love to see my times there ...

 

Isnt moroso closed down till october or november?
