On that page, the "Launch" model is the only one that's the new face lifted model. All of the others are the old body style. Confusing.

now jrm has clarified launch is the only juniper version, i guess it's several thousand more than equivalent 'old' Y.

If you option it up, the old Y is more expensive assuming you want all the options - FSD, premium paint, white interior.

Old Y LR AWD - $47,990K starting + 2K Quicksilver + 2K 20in wheels + 1K white interior + 1K tow hitch 8K FSD = $61,990.

New Y LR AWD (Launch Ed) - $59,990 for everything included

If you wanted less options then the Launch Edition isn't worth it, but it's not bad if you were already going to get FSD

The pictures of the car clearly show you it's the old body style, but it's a bit confusing/misleading when I clicked on the "Order Now" of the "New Model Y" on the homepage, but then it gives you options for Performance and 2 LR models that are all the old body style...
It confused me at first, but I figured it out quickly. I was wondering why they had a performance model so quickly. But the price difference was what caught my eye

Everything, plus Acceleration Boost:

It actually costs more for the previous gen, configured the same way. The below price doesn't even include the $2k acceleration boost option:

I wonder how Performance is going to compare to Launch price-wise. I have a feeling I'll be interested in making a move from current MYP in the next 5-6 months. It'll either be a new MYP, a 1-3 year old S, or I'd potentially spring for a new S just to get that new silver color which I absolutely love.

Here's a breakdown of the differences:

Seems like a pretty good upgrade.

I'll take that compromise lol

I think the new Y looks great

This picture from this morning at my office highlights my issue with the old design being so similar to the Model 3, it took me a couple seconds to realize this was one 3 and 2 Ys...

The one on the left does not look like a car, looks like a short crossover. Nice Mercedes emblem

I can spot the difference from a mile away. The Model Y is taller and has a more bubble shape. Also the Model Y has a hatch while the Model 3 has a trunk. Space wise, the Model 3 is a tighter fit, while the Y is easy to get in an out of. But now with the new bar lights, there is no mistaking the two

Tesla has done something here that I find completely baffling, the rear combo lights are only used for brake and signal there is no running light mode. Why? This makes no sense, having the combo light in addition to the light bar would have been perfect as it is the only rear illumination is the reflective light bar. Especially dumb since on the Model 3 the combo light of course has a running light mode the existing hardware/firmware already exists.

Someone fell so in love with their creation that they made sure it was the only thing constantly illuminated. Incredibly stupid.

Possibly but the fact it happened at all is unforgivable. Also how is this legal when the panel gets dirty it will have less reflection.

I dig the updates, I may end up leasing another Model Y. We have had zero complaints with our 2023 Model Y, and will likely go with one of these. It's literally the easiest car I have ever owned.

For me, its absolutely one of the best CUV's I've owned. I'm going on year 2 and 30K miles, only issue I've had so far is condensation in one of the tail lights, they sent someone to change it out
