I can spot the difference from a mile away. The Model Y is taller and has a more bubble shape. Also the Model Y has a hatch while the Model 3 has a trunk. Space wise, the Model 3 is a tighter fit, while the Y is easy to get in an out of. But now with the new bar lights, there is no mistaking the two
Sure you can, but I always have to look at it for a second to tell which is a 3 and which is a Y. the Y is basically the same car just stretched towards. Much better to have each model have its own identity.
I love the new rear end too, that light bar is super cool.
So many of the so called experts out there sure have trouble using their brain. Several reviewers are saying the new Y is way more expensive what they fail to tell you (or don't know) is the launch edition has a bunch of stuff standard that normally isn't. When we get the non launch editions we'll be able to properly compare to the previous Y.

C'mon, they know that, they need some gotcha to complain about. Even us lowly CL posters know this. If you are willing to spend the money on the Launch Edition, it's actually a bargain because you are getting any color, tire configuration as well as FSD, speed boost, and supercharging for a discount.
What they are doing is taking advantage of the confusion of the previous Y still being available
For me, its absolutely one of the best CUV's I've owned. I'm going on year 2 and 30K miles, only issue I've had so far is condensation in one of the tail lights, they sent someone to change it out
Ours has been faultless. We really don't think about it at all. It just works, no complaints, driving in California has been a non issue. Roadtrips to Lake Tahoe and Los Angeles from the bay area, nothing to report. Charging network is great. Great for shuttling my daughter to and from school. We love our gas cars too, but for everyday use, I'll pick this every time.

At least they were smart and ditched black as an option!
I don't know, dumb. Tesla does some very stupid stuff like not putting a bumper camera until they are seemingly waterboarded into doing it. Why hasn't there been one from the beginning?
