This is the Launch edition shipping in May 2025, for the AUS/NZ Market (Ordering is open right now). "A limited edition Model Y with bespoke features to celebrate the start of production"

With the new light bar across the rear it now looks like several other SUV's out there. Used to be you could tell what a vehicle was at night by the rear lights, now so many look the same.

That's my complaint as well

I am on the fence with the new light bar on the back. Wheels are terrible too. But I certainly like the front. I see some Buick Encore GX in the front

While I'm not a fan of the form factor(crossover coupe, ala Model Y, BMW X6, etc), I do think this is a big visual upgrade over the first gen. I am surprised they didn't just do the Model 3 styling though.

Going to be interesting to see how that rear reflective light looks in person.

Meh...

Need to see it in person, but I wish it was closer to the 3's redesign.

I really don't like that bar in the back. Now it's basically like every SUV on the road. But as long as it drives as well as the new 3, it wouldn't be a deal killer for me

i think they did the big bar to try to break up the rear plain 'wall'.

i still think the Y proportions are weird. tall, narrow, seats on stilts.

I haven't been out of the country for awhile. I pulled it from a Tesla forum.

It's badly proportioned for sure, but i think that about a lot of cars in that form factor. X4/X6, the Mercedes crossover coupes, etc. I've never seen one i like.
