This has been a hectic last two years. Had a terrible back injury at work. Gained 40lbs because of the injury and stress. Cannot work or work out without excruciating pain.Yesterday I was diagnosed as a 7.1 a1c diabetic because of not being able to work no exercise limited mobility. Hard to take pain killers because Im afraid to mix pain pills with my Xanax I take from panic attacks. Friday I have to drive 2hrs to see a spinal specialist. Will this malfunction light be ok? Light illuminated while running errands. Car seems to be in normal operation but light is freaking me out.
Thanks for any recommendations,
Lane Tracking Assist error. If it comes back, try cleaning the windshield spot where the camera is - top middle section. It could just be that the camera can't see the road adequately.
Theese warnings are a little aggressive though I found. You cannot get rid of it.
Yes I know there is an error and you have disabled that system. You don't need to keep yelling at me.
Wish you could hide that "Visit your dealer" message.
I have a headlight problem now dealer is trying to sort it out..
It comes on as soon as I use the headlights and doesn't go away until I leave the car off for a while.
Makes it hard to see important info like my speed on the dash!
I don’t know what to do. It seems as though I been thrown in a hole that I can’t crawl out of! It started out as a check engine light and a message that said ecm throttle body or transmission control. I ignored them for my stress levels. I was 2 hours from home at a doctor’s appointment. While on the way home I stopped to fill up. I noticed my car kept sputtering as I filled the tank. When I got on the highway the car completely cut off while driving in the middle of the road! I noticed a message that said battery charging system malfunction or overheated. I kept hitting the start button and finally the car started and I took off. I made it home safely. The next few days I stopped by the service station again. I noticed air coming from my gas cap as I screwed the cap off the filler neck ! After I filled up the car would not start. Finally while pressing the start button, on the seventh try it finally started. I got home and screwed the cap off again. It was pressurized. After googling a few things, I went to NAPA and ordered a purge valve and purchased a fuel cap from the Toyota Dealer along with an oil change. The car seemed revived until we drove it several hours and finally coming to a stop as the rpm’s dropped around first gear, the car did a little sputter, like a big hiccup! So we visited the gas station again. No pressure on the gas cap! As I was fueling, the car started sputtering. It didn’t cut off but I helped it by giving it rpm’s . I don’t know if by not having the check engine light turned off that its still triggering a malfunction and causing these mishaps I thought the light was going to turn off by itself. I did notice a small crack in a vacuum hose going from the purge valve to the throttle body but not sure if this is the cause. I ordered that hose from Lexus and I have to drive 2hrs to pick it up. What should I do.
I tried to get Toyota to do it when I was at the dealer today for an oil change. Of course they wanted to charge me that diagnostic fee etc. and I understand. While there, I stepped to the parts department and purchased a set of windshield wipers and gas cap.
In the morning I will stop by advance auto parts and see if they can scan the check engine light and see what code is causing this and eating at my wallet.
