I just had my dealer call me and schedule the update for Thursday. I’m a little reserved if I even want to do that. It’s been working for over a week now, and I know how to fix it. More worried they introduce different issues of which I won’t have a fix. This is my first experience with Lexus so maybe I’m being to concerned? Ford, I wouldn’t even try.
The way I see it is they have been working on a permanent fix for months so a lot of time has gone into the fix. I am out of town but will have it done next week.
So I am at the dealership right now. They have had the car for an hour and now need to put into a loaner because the software update won’t take. Great. It was working fine but decided to let them try the new fix. I’ll keep you all updated on what happens as I will be the guinea pig on this. I am about to get into a loaner while they keep working on it.
Sorry I should have gotten back here like I said I would. Here’s the latest. They could not get the new software to load. I had my app show me they tried at least 5x. I kept getting notified. Keep in mind, since a few weeks ago, I have had zero issues keeping control of my car through the app. The last thing I wanted to have happen is for the dealer to stop that. So after I got the 5th attempt I called them back and said I wanted my car back. I was “the guinea pig” per my advisors words when I asked if this worked for others. I don’t want to be serial number 0000. So I picked up my car and told them another time. Sorry I don’t have more to share. Not willing to be a test on a 2 week old car and my first experience with Lexus and this dealer.
Thanks for update...Going to contact my lexus teck tomorrow and see if he has had any success. When he called me the other day I would have been first. Mine has also been working without problem last couple of weeks...Will report baqk after conversing with him.
New 2020 ES350 got it in March, It worked for about 3 weeks and then it stopped working for me also... Not sure if its related or not but my car battery died prior to this issue happening(again new car within the first 2 months)... Not the Lexus experience I was looking for as a new customer. So far the car has been in the shop for a week and they keep telling me the Telematics ECU is being re-programmed... Hopefully today they will have it fixed.

My first experience with Lexus as well. They kept having issues loading my software as well. I finally said I wanted my car back and they can experiment on someone else. Mine still comes and goes as to when it works. But at least it works sometimes. Lexus has not given me a great first buyer experience.
I got my car back yesterday and all seems to be OK so far. The complaint I had was I was low on gas when I took it in and when I got it back it had less than 2 miles left on the damn thing until it was dead empty. I was like really? I just filled up the tank all the way on the loaner but you couldn't fill mine up just a bit to last me to a gas station... We'll see if the battery lasts longer than a month again and the remote start app.
Last night I updated several apps in my phone. Apparently the Lexus Remote Start app was one of them. This morning I tried to use the app and I had to sign in again which is normal when the app updates. But this time it had erased my vehicle. It said I could either manually input my VIN number or either scan the VIN plate in the driver's door to re-input my info. I need to try and remember to check that app right after it updates because they keep making these changes and I don't notice them until the next morning when I don't have a lot of time to mess with it.

I've been using Lexus remote for three years now and have never had to reenter the VINs.
