Here's a screenshot of the error message showing in the app:
Here's what's been done to try to fix the problem:
1. Uninstall and re-install app.
2. Log out and log back in to the app.
3. Remove the vehicle from Enform and add it back.
4. Push the SOS button and receive a 6-digit activation code.
The technology specialist at the dealership thinks that it might be a hardware issue (DCM telematics unit). I'm not convinced that's the case but who knows. I have a service appt. scheduled in two weeks.
Lexus Customer Care had promised to get back with me yesterday. That didn't happen.
From looking at the reviews for the app in the iTunes store it looks like quite a few '20 ES owners are dealing with this.

Yeah that's exactly the same thing I'm getting. I have a case number that I'm going to try and follow up on today. I also think it's a hardware issue.
It almost seems that your "remote services" themselves were never activated, unless I'm reading the message wrong. That would be way too simple though, and hard to believe the dealer wouldn't notice that, so probably not the issue.

They were activated.
Again, all was working fine for my first week of ownership.
Once initialized, the app will give the "processing . . . this could take up to 24h" message. But after a few hours it'll show the activation error message.

Mine also worked for about the first month then I got the same error message that he got and it's been that way ever since.
My case at Lexus corporate has been escalated to a tech team. This morning I was told that this issue is a known bug (i.e., software) issue with the '20 ES and that the tech team will be in touch by email when it's fixed.

So we'll see.
Yes this is what I was told also except they told me it was a known problem with '20 NX
I'm thinking it's got something to do with a different telematics module that was required for Android Auto being that both of our vehicles have Android Auto and were built in October 2019. But that's just a very uneducated guess on my part.

This comment implies that Android Auto compatibility requires a hardware change ("different telematics module"). Is that a known fact? If the answer is yes, here's my next question. Are the 2019 ES owners who were retrofit for Android Auto in Australia and Spain experiencing the same remote start problems as 2020 ES owners built in October 2019 or later?

Not every 2020 ES owner (Built after Oct) are experiencing problems with remote start. Mine is working fine. Mine was built in December.

No not a fact, as I said before, just a guess. I don't know what was required to equip October and later builds with Android Auto.
