I have a new 2019 LEXUS ES 300h.Anyone have the same problem I am having with the 12.3” split screen jumping to a new category such as the right audio changing to navigation? It won’t seem to lock each information and keep it there.

 

Is your NAV in a route? If so, I think the right side migrates to a NAV function under certain circumstances. If not in an active route, it should not happen.

 

I've seen it jump to different screens within one mode. Specifically when the right small panel is the map(no active navigation). There are 3 choices. Map, upcoming exits and compass. It will be on the map when I turn on the car(where I left it when turning off the car) but a few minutes later it will switch to upcoming exits. I've never seen it switch modes like from map to audio.

 

But it will switch from audio or any other selection back to NAV when in an active route.

 

Mine automatically switches to show exits when I get on the freeway even when I'm not using the navigation. But, I am on the map screen. I'll have to put it on the media screen and see if the exits still pop up.

 

I think that is right even when nit in an active route.

 

I don't think it's really "switching". I think of it as more of a pop up over everything else when you have an upcoming turn or exit. Once that turn or exit has passed the popup goes away and it's back to where it was. In my case it just switches from map to upcoming exists and stays there. Nothing to do with navigation.

 

That's interesting. I do see mine switch to upcoming exists but I've never really paid enough attention to when. I haven't noticed if it's when I get on the freeway. I'll keep an eye on that.

 

I find it does indeed switch and only goes back to the prior selection (audio) if you manually change it.

 

Thanks to everyone for taking the time to reply. It’s very frustrating. I went to the dealer and they are stumped. The right split screen will indeed jump to exits, etc. when I enter the highway, but it does not go back to radio. It looks to me like a possible inherent defect. Is it too much to say I want to see what I want??

 

I’ve not used navigation at all. Also the cameras that I turn on for when the speed drops below 6mph, goes away randomly as well.
