Default Anyone with the Nav Hack + Switch experience glitching?

I've had my nav hack done by tommy@musicbox for a little less than a year now, but I've been noticing lately that it isn't as smooth lately. Also, I've noticed that it does not calibrate my current position correctly. The arrow seems to be angled a little to the left or right. I was wondering if any other CL members experienced this after installing the switch? I was considering taking it into the dealer after removing the hack, but was concerned my warranty is void

Keep an eye on the map scale indicator - the one that says 300ft, 750ft, etc. as you zoom the map in and out. Under that indicator you'll see the word GPS whenever your system has a lock on the birds. On a properly working system, the GPS should get a lock within a minute of starting the car, and maintain the lock pretty much all the time, except when you are in a tunnel or a parking garage. If you don't see the word GPS, it means that the system is using gyroscopes and the speed sensor to calculate your position using dead reckoning.

i'm having issues with it on the normal streets. the position is slightly off (the direction) and its laggy when moving. i currently have the nav hack and am considering removing it to take it to the dealer, hoping my warranty wont be void, assuming that the GPS position apparatus is located within the head unit itself.

It is normal for the navigation to glitch when you have your nav-dest bypass switch on. After you set the switch back to 'stock' connection, it should resume the correct GPS location after refreshing to the GPS satellites (takes 1~2min while in motion on a clear day).

In case it glitches regardless whether your bypass switch is on/off, then you may have a faulty switch or bad wiring. That's when you may have to undo the hack and/or take it to the stealership to fix.

Yeah, I recently figured out that these occurrences happened when my override switch was continuously left “on.” The simple fix is just to make sure that it is in the "off" mode when it's not in use. Thanks, raven50x, for confirming.
