Fluttering sound when braking sometimes
Hey guys, proud owner of a 2022 es350. Love the car so much, I think the best purchase I have made in my life. There's an issue though, sometimes when I come to a stop from going above 30 there's this fluttering sound. I think it's like a fan sound but I just can't put a finger on it. I checked inside my car if there's some loose cable or something moving around, but I don't think that was the case. Was curious if anyone had this issue before. It is also very feint, so it's like impossible to record on a device. It doesn't happen all the time, but maybe like 3 out of 10 times. What do you guys think?
It might also be the VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) operating. If it is, the slip indicator light should flash but it may not be readily noticed if your vision is focused on exterior vehicle surroundings.
From the 2022 Lexus ES350 Owner's Manual page 248 (page number varies by model year version) [pdf version]:
Only Thepilgrem knows the road and weather conditions when the "fluttering sound" while braking occurs, but for the past few months in IL it seems conditions would be ideal for getting patches (e.g., black ice) of limited traction especially so on concrete roadways.

■ Sounds and vibrations caused by the ABS, brake assist, VSC, TRAC and hill-start assist control systems
● A sound may be heard from the engine compartment when the brake pedal is depressed repeatedly, when the engine is started or just after the vehicle begins to move. This sound does not indicate that a malfunction has occurred in any of these systems.
● Any of the following conditions may occur when the above systems are operating. None of these indicates that a malfunction has occurred.
• Vibrations maybe felt through the vehicle body and steering.
• A motor sound maybe heard also after the vehicle comes to a stop.
• The brake pedal may pulsate slightly after the ABS is activated.
• The brake pedal may move down slightly after the ABS is activated.

If the ABS or VSC programs were activated, the noise would be the least of OP's concerns. I'd also start to question his driving habits. LOL.
Setting either off is a MAJOR event which means you just nearly got into a major accident.
I highly doubt this is what we're dealing with here.

I doubt its the abs, because I would know if the abs is turning on just from pressing the brakes. I doubt its mechanical as well, I just feel like maybe something is loose? Maybe calibers or something internal is not tightened? What do I know lol, just speculation. I wouldn't mind bringing it to the dealer, but I can almost guarantee that they will not be able to reproduce this sound, or they will just brush it off saying it's normal. I just hate the fact we spent $50k on a car, only to get something so annoying in the first 7k miles. Who knows, maybe God willing they will find the issue and resolve it
