Default Backup Camera Screen Error

Hi All,

I need some help here. A few days ago, my car ran out of battery due to short distance and lack of use.

After I boosted it, it says some parking assistance not available. I didn't really notice it much since all radars are working properly.

Now, when I reverse, I see a big "!" At the top of the screen. What is it? How do I take it out?

Model 2020 es350 f2

Thanks!

Top left corner

If your dynamic direction lines aren't showing, there is a procedure to re-initalize them. I believe it is simply a matter of turning the steering wheel lock to lock or something like that. Maybe someone else can chime in here if I'm wrong.

Thanks! I would love to know how to re initialize them as I don't want to go to a dealership.

Can anyone help me please?

See page 194 [page number varies with manual versions] of the 2020 LEXUS ES350/ES300H FROM OCT. 2019 PROD. NAVIGATION AND MULTIMEDIA SYSTEM OWNER'S MANUAL (pdf version). There's a procedure to recalibrate/synchronize the steering position sensors with the software that you can do yourself when you've had battery problems.

Thanks for letting me know!

I will read through it. I'm not really sure the name of that system that needs to reset, I gotta try each one of them.

Thanks again! Glad I don't need to spend time at the dealership.

Only one system for the ! in the diamond symbol - it's the parking assist monitor system. The page number I referenced contains the last entries of the troubleshooting chart for that system and the symbol is the last entry in the chart.

Edit :. Just fixed it. It's odd.. I have to go on reverse, let the car go on reverse while doing hard left all the way, then hard right all the way.

So I guess I need alot of space for my car to move around
Thank you very much!

I found the solution, I will try it out. I attempted the fix when car was on reverse.. it didn't help (turning car fully to the left and right).

I will try again with the car parked and D mode (of course while braked).

Hopefully this fixes it.

If others fixed it before doing the turning steering wheel method, please let me know if it's supposed to be done while car is on P?

Thanks again

Hey Ayufan,
Did you get this issue resolved? If so, what was the fix?

I had to go into the Multimedia/Nav's service menu to re-align rear camera guidelines with the steering wheel position. I don't think I had to move the car at all as I did the re-calibration in my garage. The car had to be running because you're required to turn the steering lock-to-lock.

I had notes someplace on how to access this hidden menu. lmk if you need me to find either the steps or the post with the steps and screen shots.

To get to the service menu, hold menu button and turn light switch off and on 3X. Then good luck. Im still tryimg to recover the yellow lines after a battery change weeks ago.

This may also help. I've had to do this a few times after the battery dying / replacing:
