2020 ES350 MSRP $45,835 plus $599 Processing Fee, taxes and tags. Dealer took $6189 off MSRP ($3000 Lexus Cash plus another $3189). Final cost is $39,646 plus $599 Processing Fee, taxes and tags. It was a long difficult negotiation and I believe it is about the best I can do. Does this seem like a good deal to you? Thanks.
Sounds like a great deal to me. My sticker was about the same, processing fee was $200 less, and got about 4k off in total. However I purchased in February.

Congratulations, hope you enjoy your new vehicle. Regardless, of what type of deal you got all that should really matter is that you're happy with your decision.
You should be able to get 10% off msrp not counting Lexus incentives.
Thanks Mike. I want to be sure we are comparing apples to apples. The MSRP includes delivery charge but not the $599 processing fee. So, $45835 MSRP - 4584 -3000 + 599 = $38850 (plus taxes and tags), right?

Directionally correct. Coming up on end of model year plus Covid trashed economy should equal an even better buyer's market.

OTOH, supply is extremely tight (unless you like black interior) and still plenty of buyers based on showroom activity and how quickly inventory is dropping. Kentucky is back up but not sure how many more 2020’s will be produced. From what I can see, COVID is not creating much of a buyer’s market. I did do a little better with another dealer - 8% off MSRP plus $3000 Lexus cash. New dealer is much further away but $210 less up yours, I mean processing fees.

My local dealer has 38 in stock. Another dealer roughly 15 miles away has 50. No shortage in that regard.

Right, but how many moonbeam beige with chateau interior, premium package without navigation? Also, probably won’t get best deal unless car you want is sitting on the lot. Thompson Lexus is a big operation with two locations...not a single moonbeam beige or atomic silver on the lot.

No offense but how much demand is there for moonbeam beige. Atomic silver on the other hand is a popular choice and many in stock for that.

Ok, I offered 10% off msrp as my final offer on the moonbeam beige car. Adding the $3000 Lexus rebate would give me 16.5% off msrp. Told dealer I was ready to close deal immediately. Considering this is the last day of the month, Lexus cash rebates expire Monday and moonbeige is apparently unpopular color, I figured dealer would take the deal but they would not. The most they would do was 8.5%. So, maybe you can get 10% in NJ but it ain’t happening in my neck of the woods.

Delta small enough - you want the car, so seal the deal - you won't be disappointed. Good luck.
Don't worry so much what other people think about the deal. There's always someone else out there that will say they did better. From purchasing only Lexus vehicles since 2003 that is def decent deal. I got around 9.5-9.75% disc plus 1500.00 in Incentives. I was wanting 11% disc plus 1500 incentives but settled as stated. My veh was $50.4k so taking that 1% of 50k = 500.00 x 3=1500 ( incentives), that would equate to 3% in Incentive money! So in essence I received 9.5% + 3% = 12.5% Total. The 5 Lexus + 1 Toyota Sequoia I've purchased ( I never lease) I've been in the 11-14% range when you include MSRP discs + Corp Incentives. Imo if the deal is still on the table I would take and enjoy your New Lexus. Good Luck!
p.s other big factor to consider the msrp of said veh is only 45k+ which is big difference from say the same model at 55k MSRP..more room for disc in hogher MSRP.

I agreed,
When I was looking around for the ES, people said I should at least get 10-12K discount. But in the real life it's not going to happen.
I have tried and failed but eventually able to get the right one and right amount of saving on the ES. Happy with it so far.
So if you think you can afford and try to negotiate as much as you can and take it.
