Default Keep volume between sources

Is there a way to keep the volume consistent between sources? When I change between FM and XM, the volume is left at my last setting for each source. I'd rather the volume I set apply to all sources

I can swear my volume adjusts according to the last setting for that source. I'll have to double check but pretty sure it works that way.

I checked - volume set on 15 for XM, switched to a streaming app and it was already on 30.

Nothing like changing your preset channel at 7am and BAM! loud music. You only turned down one source from the night before. Ridiculous

Actually, I find the setting memory to be useful. Each source tends to have different volume to start with. For example when I listen to FM, the source is already loud so I only need a volume of say 10. But switching to satellite, the volume is lower than FM so I need to use a setting more like 15 or 20. Same with MP3, USB, etc. Each source originates at a different volume. Having the system remember the last volume used for each source is beneficial to me. Given that different users have varying requirements, seems like it would be an easy feature to make user settable. Lexus could offer a setting for global volume versus source volume. The car already has a bajillion settings so what's one more. :-)

I now only use one source so it's not an issue for me. But when I first purchased the vehicle I did like the fact that each source has independent settings. I listened to FM radio, Bluetooth, and XM to hear the difference and each was very different. Being able to change the audio settings and volume for each source was very helpful.

Ha - what I do enjoy though is some of the AM stations (news or sports talk) actually broadcast on the FM band in HD so if you do want to listen to that even for a short time, you get crystal clear FM quality sound. I find not many folks ever use or even know about the HD radio feature.
