Default XM Radio volume too low

Just got the XM trial started for my CPO 2010 LS 460 with the Nav/ML option. I noticed the volume is very low when playing satellite radio. When playing FM or a CD, it's much louder. Kinda blows you away when switching from XM to FM or a CD.

Just turned off the speed sensitive volume, but didn't try switching. So I don't know if this will help.

Any one else have this issue?

Thanks,
Dana

What you are experiencing may be an indication that the SAT equalizer is set to minimum, or that the AM and FM equalizers are set to maximum, or both. The equalizers for AM, FM and SAT are independent settings.

You should leave the ASL on.

The equalizers were set just one tick differently on the bass. This isn't enough to explain the drastic difference in sound level.

But thanks, didn't know there were separate equalizers.

You could try signing into your XM account and then resend the signal to your car or do this thru a customer service phone call.

Talked with Sirius CS for about 30 minutes on Monday. They resent the signal a couple times. Can't say that it helped much, if any.

May end up just setting the equalizers to get the same volume...

I've noticed the same issue in my recently purchased '11 CPO -- specifically, the XM and BT Audio volume is much lower than the other sources. And yes, my equalizer settings are the same as it is for other sources and ASL is on. I guess I'm trying to figure out if this behavior is typical in all ML systems or if I need something replaced.

I have a 2011. I do not have XM, but do use BT a lot. I stream music. And occasionally have some songs come in a bit quieter, But that shouldn't be anything on the stereo side of things. Maybe happens once every few days
