Having difficulty finding a Moonbeam beige ES350 w Macadamia NuLuxe interior. So have talked to two dealers regarding ordering this vehicle. One says they cannot order new vehicles and the other says it takes 6-9 months. What is the truth about ordering a Premium featured ES350? Is it possible and within a reasonable time? What about pricing, do I expect discount or full MSRP?
I would try to find one on a dealer lot. If not the exact configuration that you want, I'd still never custom order a vehicle that I couldn't see first. Don't know what kind of deal you should expect but dealers want to move cars off their lot and stop paying interest on them so you usually get a better deal with an existing car. And I wouldn't want to wait 6-9 months for a car to be delivered. GOOD LUCK with your search...

Thanks but I am looking for a response for those who have actually ordered a ES350 recently. The dealers I contacted have done a national search for my vehicle with no luck. And I have ordered American made vehicles before and it takes about 5 weeks to get a car, but have never ordered a Lexus and want to know of recent experiences and recent pricing.
I am fully aware it is easier to buy and even negotiate for a vehicle on their lot and that they pay floor-plan expense (interest expense for the rest of us) and they would rather turn and churn vehicles without having to pay that expense as the vehicle sit on their lot.
Please advise about actual recent experiences with ordering a vehicle. Thanks.
Thanks. This initially appears to be just another dealer and not in my area. It does appear they like to custom order but that may be just marketing to draw people into a discussion and then switch them to something close.
Some dealers can order and others can't. Allocated amount is what it really comes down to. The more the dealers sell the more spots they have to be able to do it. There's also a specific time frame cars can be ordered and a window for certain options/trims. Once that passes no dealer can do it and it might be past that time for the 2025 model. That's what I was told by a Lexus dealer and I know that's how Ford works.
6-9 months is accurate for waiting. You're more likely to find a volume dealer be willing to order vs one that is all for profit.
Thank you. That is pretty informative for me. I started this effort in October knowing it would take time but not knowing the dealers have way different purchasing/ordering capabilities. I may have to order in August of 2025 for a 2026 Lexus. I just need to find a dealer in the SC/GA area to accommodate a simple order. And for some reason the dealer that searched across the U.S. there is nothing close from a colors perspective and for only the Premium options.
You’re not going to be able to order the car you want. I tried. However don’t give up hope. I tried a different strategy. I would advise you select maybe 5 or so large Lexus dealers online and periodically look over their new on lot inventory and explore what options the vehicle is equipped with. I did this and was successful and found the exact car with options and color I wanted. It took about 6 months before I struck gold. In 2 more weeks my new 2025 Iridium (with Macadamia interior) Ultra Luxury will be arriving. I am fortunate as I live in Florida and Lexus has a large presence here. You could do the same and if you strike pay dirt you could have the car shipped to your home. I had to do this when I bought my 2022 Corvette, it was shipped from another state to my home. Dealers do this all the time. It’s not that difficult to do. I’ve done this with other vehicles as well. The only car you can’t do this with is Porsche.

Not sure this helps the OP in their search for a 2025 ES350 but here’s the timeline for our custom ordered 2023 ES350 UL:
Ordered Luxury in person at a dealer in Southern California on March 12 2023 then changed to Ultra Luxury via text on March 14 2023
4-4-23 VIN CREATED with scheduled BUILD WEEK OF APRIL 10 2023 (week 15 designated by digits 12,13)
4-8-23 Estimated delivery 4-13 thru 4-29
4-15-23 Estimated delivery 4-19-23
4-20-23 New Estimated Delivery: 4-23 thru 28
4-25-23 Received at dealership
4-28-23 Purchased/Delivered
As others have noted, it helps to order via a high-volume dealer so they have sufficient allocations available. Good Luck!
That was good work jimbosr1! If OP is not too far from Jackson, MS: Herrin-Gear Lexus is located at 1685 High Street • Jackson, MS 39205.
Exterior Moonbeam Beige Metallic
Interior Macadamia NuLuxe® and Ash Bamboo trim
Rear Bumper Appliqué, 18-in split-10-spoke alloy wheels with two-tone Black and machined finish
If you have not seen the bamboo "wood" trim, I will warn you that I found it to be disappointing when I picked up my 2024 ES350 Luxury (cloudburst gray with Macadamia/bamboo). I bought it from my home 90 miles from the dealer without actually seeing it ahead of time. It looks and feels like plastic with fake grain printed on it. The steering wheel fake bamboo trim seems to be a different color than the other fake bamboo trim. It does not look like it belongs on a $55,000 car. I would much prefer an all-leather wheel, but I am not going to pay to change it.
I just took a look at the dealer listing for the moonbeam beige metallic ES350 in Jackson, MS and see the bamboo trim added $360 to the price, but fortunately, the car has the all-leather steering wheel. https://www.herringearlexus.com/deal...DZ1B1XSU192112
